The venerable Jeep Wrangler keeps its timeless spirit intact year after year but evolves a few specific features with each new model year to stay competitive with cars more tied to the moment. Its pickup truck sibling, the Jeep Gladiator, is too new to have that same history. But the two are close enough that they stick together.
For 2022, that means entertainment updates. The Wrangler also gains a few off-road features limited to specific trim levels.
The Jeep pickup starts at $35,610 for 2022, plus a $1,595 destination fee. It gains a pair of new screen options.
The base Sport model gets a 7-inch display screen, replacing the little 5-inch model found on the 2021 Gladiator Sport. It comes paired with Jeep’s Uconnect 4 system, meaning Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard. Overland, Rubicon, and Mojave models get a larger, 8.4-inch screen running the more advanced Uconnect 4C system. It comes with navigation and a nine-speaker Alpine stereo system.
