A $25 million entertainment complex that is expected to open in Hutto in early 2024 will bring the growing city its first movie theater, city officials have announced.
“I think it will help put Hutto on the map and will check a lot of boxes for what people in Hutto want in terms of entertainment and things to do for families,” Mayor Mike Snyder said Friday.EVO Entertainment Group will break ground on the complex in the spring, Mitch Roberts, the company’s chief executive officer, said at the City Council meeting Thursday. The complex will have eight movie screens with dining and all-recliner seating, 10 bowling lanes and 7,200 square feet of gaming, attractions and virtual reality, according to a city news release.
It also will feature a bar/lounge area, a patio and a private event space, the release said. It said the complex will be off of U.S. 79 near Texas 130. The 53,300-square-foot venue is expected to provide 40 jobs, the release said.
