Georgia and Michigan have a fascinating matchup in the College Football Playoff semifinals, but it seems the biggest topic of conversation right now is the Bulldogs’ quarterback situation with Stetson Bennett and JT Daniels after losing the SEC Championship game to Alabama. Joel Klatt said Michigan is playing as well as anyone, and Daniels might be the best option under center for Georgia.
Daniels only played in five games before an injury sidelined him and Bennett went back in as the starter. Bennett has not relinquished the spot, but Klatt spoke on The Herd with Colin Cowherd to explain why Georgia should go back to what was working before.
“Michigan’s playing as well as anybody out there, playing balanced football,” Klatt said. “The spread is about where I thought it would be. … If I had to make a straight, straight-up pick, I’d probably pick Georgia. But you’re right about the Stetson Bennett piece of this and it’s not just him. It’s just the philosophy in which they go about trying to win football games.
