A brand new video teases the upcoming Ghostbusters: Afterlife Easter eggs breakdown featurette that will accompany the film’s home release on February 1. The highly anticipated reboot of the much-loved Ghostbusters franchise hit theaters back in 2021 and follows McKenna Grace and Finn Wolfhard’s characters, Phoebe and Trevor, after they inherit their grandfather, Egon Spengler’s abandoned farmhouse. Following in the footsteps of his father Ivan Reitman, the renowned director behind Ghostbusters 1 and 2, Jason Reitman helmed this latest installment which went on to receive an incredibly warm welcome at the box office, despite the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While Ghostbusters: Afterlife welcomes some new faces to the franchise, including Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon, the film also features a number of familiar faces that offered the nostalgic hit audiences had been hoping for since the release of the film’s very first teaser. Fans got to see Venkman (Bill Murray), Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), and Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) once again, as well as a tear-jerking appearance from Spengler (played by the late Harold Ramis) who appears to his fellow Ghostbusters as an apparition. The film was packed with numerous references and call-backs to the previous Reitman-directed movies, and now a brand-new featurette is set to detail every single one.
